In the April 1991 edition of the magazine, the initial part of a long article by Frank Jones was included. Frank commenced work with
the Birmingham Municipal Bank in 1922, and retired as a Branch Inspector in about 1970. His article was in four parts, finishing in
the January 1992 edition. At that time, Frank was in his mid-80s and was registered blind. He compiled his 'Memories' by audio tape
and his words were transcribed by Norman Worwood - the then editor of the Members' Magazine. His ‘Memories’ are reproduced on the

The magazine issued in January 1992 had amendments to both the front and rear covers. These showed a change of title (Midland &
Wales Region replacing Birmingham Region) and a change of production method. The same edition announced that Mike Shaw had been elected
as the Association’s first Vice-President. A further change was to the position of Secretary – this role was no longer filled by a
TSB employee, but Margaret Smith was ‘promoted’ from being Assistant Secretary.
The October 1992 edition of the magazine contained the Editorial (reproduced below) written by Norman Worwood, who had recently moved
house from Sutton Coldfield to Salisbury. In his article, Norman speculates about the future of the magazine – conjecture that is
answered in the next edition’s (January 1993) Chairman’s New Year Message.
